Location: Starts in Davidson, NC and ends in Charlotte on 2nd St. at Davidson St. The Charlotte Observer Marathon Run for Peace and its accompanying New Balance Marathon Relays are run on a point-to-point course which winds through beautiful open countryside and into downtown Charlotte. Average temperatures in Charlotte for January range from the low 40's to the mid-50's, but the actual temperature hovered around 20 degrees. It was really cold.
