Longer
I love progress. I mean, I live for it man, and I’m seeing some in my little life. I kinda spaced out on Tuesday’s run and Wednesday’s ride and ended up going my longest post-partum for both. Five, yes FIVE miles on Tuesday and 16 whole miles on the cruiser yesterday. Awesome. I held back with just a 3 mile run today in hopes that I can go longer than 5 this Saturday. Some day in the not too far future, perhaps my long runs will actually be LONG. Sweet.
P.S. I think a little weight might have come off this past week. I hope.

Alicia! Isn’t the progress so rewarding? the body is an amazing machine, really! The last post of Remy posting was adorable. I was so used to my little 4 lb babies that Remy looks like he is 6 months old! Glad all is well!
Hi Alicia,
You will be back sooner than you know. I spent alot of time on the elliptical afterwards and then worked up to running. He’s soooo CUTE! Sounds like you are doing great!!!
I am so impressed at how far you are running already! That is awesome. I have been meaning to tell you that I actually thought about you while I was racing Duke 1/2. I was in considerable discomfort going up that hill and thought “this is easier than labor contractions, suck it up and get up the hill”. But then I thought about how you survived your ridiculously long labor ordeal and how high your pain tolerance is going to be for racing now. You are going to be back kicking everyone’s butt before you know it!
Update: I ran 6 miles last Saturday and it felt really long.
