I’m starting a new posting category called Product Love. Considering how long it’s been since I’ve done a Workout of the Week post, I’m not committing to any type of schedule. Come to think of it, I suppose I should do a WOTW post really soon. Hm. But anyway…this Product Love topic will be about some of the things I use (not necessarily triathlon related) that I am solidly product loyal about, which is saying something since I tend to be a pragmatic low-cost hunter about most things. Here’s the first installment.
Way long ago. Way, way long ago I used whatever shaving cream was cheapest, which resulted in buying storebrand stuff that squirted out of a can. Although it was a step up from using just regular soap or conditioner, that stuff never lasted very long.
Somewhere along the line I discovered Kiss My Face Shaving Cream. In particular, the unscented kind. I much prefer the unscented kind since I’ve had some curdling problems with the minty scented stuff.
Why? This stuff is amazing. Sure, you can buy cheaper stuff, but it won’t last as long as Kiss My Face. Nor will it provide as smooth a shave and reduce razor burn the way this stuff does. Plus, a little goes a long, long way. In fact, shave for shave, I bet this is cheaper than the cheapie stuff.
What would make it better? The only improvement I can recommend is to adjust the pump so that it doesn’t squirt out 4x what you actually need. Other than that, A++. Awesome enough that I haven’t used any other brand in well over a decade. Maybe more. I’ve lost track.
