This is a post with a unifying theme of things I’ve noticed lately, which I would argue isn’t much of a theme at all. It is what it is. Click on below to read more.
Years ago, I had a stats program on my blog that told me all sorts of geeky details about people and bots that visited my little slice of cyber heaven. Then it stopped working, or something like that. I don’t remember actually. Point being that it’s been years since I’ve had a view of my blog visitorship, but I got Gary to fix that a couple weeks ago. Now I have a couple weeks of numbers of unique visitors, where they hail from and what pages they most like to visit.
This “brilliant analysis” led me to my Ask a Question page where people are supposed to post their questions so I can answer them in a post and/or email. So the theory goes. Well, it sure helps when the comments feature is open for this plan to work out. Oops. Anyway, that’s fixed now. If you have questions, feel free to ask away at that location.
Another thing I’ve noticed is that the color of the tree’s leaves are particularly spectacular right now. I should have gotten photos yesterday when the sky was blue and the sun bright and sparkling, but hopefully tomorrow will deliver such photo-enhancing conditions and I can take some pics to share. Every run and ride is like being in a chromatic wonderland. I keep telling Remy to appreciate these moments, since they are so fleeting. I’m not sure he grasps my eager postulations. Maybe that’s why he keeps saying, “I don’t get it” lately. The little parrot…

Speaking of Remy, he’s a determined, assertive little negotiator. At 2 years old. I think I can rest comfortably in the knowledge that if he doesn’t get what he wants (now or in the far future), it won’t be because he was afraid to let his desires be known. Or because he gave up early. Or because he didn’t follow up on receiving his end of a negotiated deal. Sure, I can get him to comply with the occasional request by putting conditions on it (i.e., after you get you pajamas on is when you’ll get _____ ), but he’ll demand ______ once he’s got those PJ’s on. No amount of attempted distraction or redirection will work. Kid drives a hard bargain.
I think that’s all for now. I’ve noticed other things, but I’m currently noticing the time, my need to get showered before dinner and the general ruckus in the kitchen caused by an unentertained toddler. So very helpful to Gary as he prepares our evening meal. Later folks!
