I’m not really interested in using my blog as a training log, not because I’m trying to hold my training plans close to the vest, but because Ialready log that stuff in a spreadsheet and I’m not big on duplicating efforts. However, I’ve been thinking about doing a weekly post about a particular workout I did the previous week and explaining my rationale behind it.
Is this something that might interest any readers (that haven’t long abandoned this blog due to posting infrequency, overemphasis on toddler topics, and a plethora of better options with which to waste time)? Let me know yay or nay.
I haven’t decided what I workout I would post on first, but there have been some swim workouts that I was considering sharing.
Speaking of swimming, I did a 2 mile open water swim “race” last Saturday that doesn’t warrant a full race report. The gist of it was:
- Warm water of 86 degrees
- Two loop course
- Plan was to swim steady first lap then negative split (by effort)
- I executed that plan well
- Even picked up a good draft for 2/3 of the first lap
- Bonus was winning my old lady age group
That is all for now.

YES!
Yes from me too.
Old lady… I like the idea and think you should post your training log a few times per year.
Yes as well! I really admire how you have figured out exactly what works for you and can do exactly what you need to do to get the results you want.
