Seeing my little man feel bad from this cold that I gave him made me feel sad. Poor little guy. I have to say, though, he napped like a champion when he was sick.
The past few days have been quite different. He’s obviously feeling MUCH better. So much better, in fact, that he doesn’t go to sleep at night until around 10pm or so. Seriously. And, no, I can’t just put him in the crib at his old bed time. He’s not just up, he’s AWAKE. The kind of awake that includes furious speed-crawl and walking laps around the downstairs of our house.
I have to admit we were encouraging it under the presumption that it would tire him out faster. Of course, we may just be training him to improve his future speed and endurance.
Anyway, this too shall pass because we’re all getting up super early this coming Sunday for a local race. Early rise without the multiple hours of drive time to throw him further off schedule. I’m going to believe that this will get us back on track.
Now about this cold that’s getting better but lingering, lingering for me. Repeat after me: Healthy and fast at Triangle Tri. Healthy and fast at Triangle Tri…

Hope you get healthy so you can go fast!
Yeah, I got “lucky” with just a 24 hour thing… I swear, I’d rather be wickedly sick for 24 hours than just kind-of sick for 2 weeks…
Good luck with Remy too! Is he sleeping in later if he’s going to bed later? Moana doesn’t- she’s up at 6ish pretty much no matter what time she goes to bed.
Hope you feel better. I found that nasal rinse to work wonders. While disgusting to shoot stuff up your nose that comes out the other nostril, I’ve been feeling much better. I just realized while typing this as I sit at the airport that I forgot to pack that. D’oh. Glad Remy is feeling better.
Good luck this weekend. Fingers crossed that (1) you feel better (2) Remy sleeps late (3) you have a great race!
Good luck at Triangle. Hopefully Tim and I can make it out to watch some of the action. Depends on how the moving thing goes.
