He hadn’t paid much attention to the push car thus far except to knock it over on its side and spin the wheels. Wheels are fascinating because they roll and stuff. Anyway, last night I propped him up behind the car and ZOOM– off we went across the room and into the opposite wall. I then moved him downstairs where Daddy could see and there’s a little more space. But still, obstacles everywhere he turned.
This video is from Daddy taking Remy outdoors where there are fewer walls and furniture to run into. Apparently, the push car is magnetically attracted to obstacles of all kinds, even trees and railroad ties.
My favorite is the pathetic squeal of frustration that he lets out when he’s stuck. Oh, the drama. I laugh every time he does that.

Wow. He is doing great with the push car. We’ll have to take Zach’s outside because we run into the same problem – he runs into things with it and after smashing it three or four times and realizing he can’t go any further he moves on to something else. And the little whine when he gets stuck is adorable! He’s thinking “I’m melting down. Oh wait, I’m moving again so I’m good. Okay, now I’m stuck and I am really melting down.” He looks like he will be walking really soon.
Interesting that Zach has the presence of mind to move on to something else. Not Remy. Oh no. That “melting down” process happens a dozen times in the course of 5 minutes when pushing the car around inside. It’s like OMG OMG OMG I can WALK! Major excitement and hyperventilation. THUD. Arg! Now I can’t! I wanna walk I wanna walk! Wah! Repeat.
