2008 Reading List

I started the current reading list back in December 22nd of 2007, and it’s getting a bit unweildy.  It’s time to move the finished items off the page and start new for 2009.  I’m pretty impressed with how much is there although I imagine the pace will remain slowed due to other priorities (errr..Remy).  It would be a shame to just erase all that evidence of edification, so here’s the books and articles of fair length that I’ve read over the past 369 days.

Finished Books and Papers:

  • Executive EQ: Emotional Intelligence in Leadership and Organizations. by Robert K. Cooper and Ayman Sawaf. *

  • On Truth. by Harry Frankfurt.  (big words don’t make a person smart)
  • The Evolutionary Mind: Conversations on Science, Imagination and Spirit. by Rupert Sheldrake, Terence McKenna and Ralph Abraham. (loopy)
  • The Fifth Discipline: The Art & Practice of The Learning Organization. by Peter Senge. (good, but I had to get the book back to the library and I had a pending birth to contend with)

* Recommended Readings.  These are those items that I really enjoyed and would recommend to others.  Not that other items on the list are bad (some are OK and some are quite good), it’s just that they aren’t as memorable.
