Remy made the rounds today. First, after sleeping in really late, we stroller jogged a couple miles away to a Mother’s Club yard sale. There were patchy drizzles that got us a little wet, especially at one point. I stopped and checked out the little guy and he was smiling and speckled with drops. Funny boy. I put a cover on him so he doesn’t get chilled. We bought a bag of baby socks and two floppy hats at the yard sale then went back home. Mommy got some exercise and Remy got to see a little more of the world. He loves the outdoors, just like his Mommy and Daddy.
Later in the day, we went out to Insideout Sports for the Newton Shoe Fall Extravaganza. Remy met lots of people, including Heather Fuhr and Daddy-To-Be Richard Armstrong. I saw Gary hand Remy over to Richard so he could practice baby holding. Next thing I know I hear my child crying. Apparently, Remy decided this was the time to have a bothersome tummy bubble and spit up. Oops. Welcome to baby care Richard!
So, being a Fall Extravaganza and all, they were raffling off prizes at Insideout Sports. Gary picked up three tickets for all three of us. One of the tickets won us some new socks, so that was obviously Remy’s ticket. However, the socks were my size, so I thanked Remy for helping upgrade my sock wardrobe from the threadbare selection I now have. So, woo, new socks!
Then we went to Whole Foods, where Remy fell asleep in Daddy’s arms. It was a long day, ya know. Phew.
