Be Flexible

I’ve been stretching more.  It probably helps that I’m not running either, but I really am feeling certain parts loosening up that previously seem to stay tight.  This is encouraging. 

I think yoga twice a week helps too.  Wednesday night we did something the teacher referred to as “Chinese toe torture.”  Basically, you sit on your feet with your knees and feet together with your toes curled under.  Not a big deal for a few seconds, but the torture part of the move increases the longer you hold the position.  Boy oh boy does it stretch out the toes and bottoms of your feet.  We held the position for 60 seconds.  It wasn’t easy, but I really think it helped.  I tried to find a picture of the pose but haven’t been able to yet.  I think there’s a  lot of good that foot stretching can do.
