In the kitchen today I found a little lidded styrofoam cup with “mercury” written on the side of it. What is this? Gary? Honey?
Oh, yeah, I broke the thermometer.
You mean the one you just bought?
Yeah.
At least he’s trying to dispose of toxic chemicals appropriately as compared to the last thermometer that sunk to the bottom of Jordan Lake. Speaking of Jordan Lake, this is why we don’t know just how warm the water was today, but boy was it warm in the cove. I first stepped into the water and swear it felt warmer than the low-90′s air. Away from the shore, it was a little better and even better out of the cove, but wow was it warm. Good thing we were swimming nice and easy.
So who was I swimming with? You won’t believe it. Yup. Alisha Lion reappeard from the edge of the earth, ready to swim swim swim. We swam out to the buoy near the bridge and back for a couple miles.
Good one. And I made it back home in time for my phone interview.
Phone interview? Should I know what that’s about (i.e. did you write about it already and I’m just a bad blogland friend?) or are you teasing us with something exciting on the horizon?

To explain the phone interview, I am an HR consultant and do a fair amount of recruiting. I had a phone interview scheduled at 7pm to talk to a candidate about a Call Center Technician position. so nothing exciting, just work.
