No Parking?

So we get to our usual swimming hole to find freshly planted “No Parking” signs. What? What does this mean, “No Parking?” They don’t want anyone using the cove any more? How stupid is that? People fish back there all the time. And SWIM. Also they come out on boats and drink and break lots of glass, which is something I’d like to see stopped.

So we’re out there swimming and I see a guy in khaki’s checking out our stuff on the shore while we’re about a quarter mile or so away. Looks like a Park Ranger wondering why all these cars were parked around his No Parking signs. We wondered if we would end up with parking tickets, but didn’t.

Sigh… I guess I need a backup location in case this one isn’t allowed any more. Crap.

Oh. The top layer of water was pretty warm– 71 degrees in the cove and 66 out in the bigger area. Some good chop out there too. Seven swimmers. Another successful day on the open waters.
