So I’m doing my short little easy runs Wednesday-Thursday and I’m having that usual doubting worry that maybe I won’t be recovered in time to feel OK to race Saturday. Yeah, I know. I did a lot of work the past month. Not intense, but a lot by my standards. I did spin class and weights Monday, Tuesday off and I expect to feel great by Thursday? Pretty silly. Still, I worried. Now it’s Friday evening after another day off from training and I think I feel OK. I’ll survive tomorrow as I Run at the Rock. Oh yeah, since the field is stacked with Alisha L. and the Price twins, my reasonable goal is age group win. Yeah. Unless there’s a ringer or two out there I don’t know about. Hey. There’s always the standby goal of beating last year’s time, which shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
