On the way back from the Active Release Therapy appointment this morning I saw a rainbow. To me rainbows signify hope– that there’s something really beautiful on the other side of the storm. A sign of better things to come. With pre-rush hour traffic building on the road, I didn’t have a lot of time to dwell on the multi-colored bands lighting the sky. Not unlike the glimmers of hope that my injury will resolve in time to compete well at Tri Nationals that I don’t have much time to think about because there’s so much to do with work lately. Much like the rainbow that I knew was to my left as I focused on the traffic and the rain clouds ahead, there’s a chance that my “extreme taper” may bring me to Kansas City ready to go fast even if it’s a little hard to see that picture very clearly through all the other stuff.
