Goodness. I’m feeling a little better, but boy have I been tired this week. What have I done since Sunday? Not much. Only workout was taking it easy in a spin class and a little core work last night. That’s it. I was going to do something tonight, but again, TIRED.
And don’t think for a minute that because I haven’t been exercising much my appetite would drop. But no. Tired and hungry. All the time.
Here’s hoping I’m ready to go fast Saturday.

Good luck! Go fast, take chances!
Signs of a good taper – you’re feeling fat and sassy.
Go get ‘em, Alicia! Have a safe, fun race!
“Fat and sassy” does sound nicer than tired and hungry and grumpy. Good news is the allover fatigue burn felt in the mornings is finally gone. This is absolutely the sign of a good taper– you feel worse before you feel better. The trick is hitting the timing just right. I think I’ll pull it all off, remembering that the goal is to be really ready for Nationals in another 3 weeks.
